Welcome to Alex’s Community Care Circle!

Hey comrades. The last several years i’ve seen my physical health move through a very drastic decline. Living with cyclical vomiting syndrome, Long Covid, and an autoimmune disorder has proven to be incredibly challenging. Not to mention also navigating chronic pain, insomnia, c-ptsd, autism, adhd, depression, and chronic suicidal ideations. After experiencing my fourth Covid infection in November 2023, I am deeply worried. Something feels very wrong with my brain. As a result, i haven’t been able to work more than 10 to 15 hours a week without experiencing significant brain cognition issues, severe fatigue and brain fog, low-grade temperatures and flu like symptoms, and full body pains amongst many other things. It is becoming more and more of a reality that I will need long-term help for general survival things.

I’m building this Community Care Circle as a way to get support with not only periodic fundraising, but also with other needs that may come up, which so far have included things like having grocery shopping or meal prep done, help with housecleaning and laundry, pet care, researching and contacting different health insurance things and doctors/specialists, researching symptoms and treatments, and so much more. I am hoping that as i expand this Community care circle that no one will feel too burdened by supporting us in our long-term care.

I am also hoping that this mailing list format will feel easier for folks to either opt in/out when they have capacity. I totally understand that SO many of us are struggling, so please never feel bad if you can’t support at any given time. Even more reason I want to expand this care circle; so that should any comrades need to lessen their support to tend to their own needs, there are other folks who can ebb and flow with support.
